Have fun improving ALL your English skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, while increasing your Vocabulary.

You can boost your vocabulary by checking out myriad sites on the Internet. Decide which vocabulary subjects you wish to develop and there will be heaps of help at your finger tips!

For example, if you would like to talk or write about your holidays, look for sites promoting holidays/vacations/short breaks or travel. Because they are trying to sell holidays, they use descriptive vocabulary; exactly what you need to enrich your language. There are often videos to watch and listen to as well.

So, reading the articles improves your writing by showing correct and complex sentence structure and enables you to learn new vocabulary in context. Watching videos enhances your listening ability while providing correct pronunciation. If you’re keen you could try repeating phrases you hear. Your speaking will naturally improve.

Here are some examples of Vocabulary-rich sites:

1) Holidays etc.

2) Food & Cooking You can watch videos of the tv series ‘Masterchef’. It’s a fun site, full of superb, everyday language and interesting people.

3) Movies Find out about your favourite actors, read reviews and watch movie Trailers.

4) Jobs & Interviews
